IMPORTANT: All supporters/spectators of 145km riders and all team riders doing the second 65km leg of the race route must leave by vehicle on SH 87, no less than 15min ahead of the race start, in order to meet their riders at the Midway-Point. Drivers of support/spectator and team relay vehicles must follow the designated travel route indicated on the map here. Other than the initial first 26km from Outram to Clarks Junction on SH87, to ensure rider safety, no support/spectator or team relay vehicles are permitted to use the route of the event riders take. They can only stop to Support and Spectate 145km riders or transition with team relay team-mates (exchanging timing transponder in the process) at the Midway-Point and ¾ Stage Points. Support/spectator and team relay vehicles elsewhere on the route the event riders take or providing assistance outside of the Midway-Point and ¾ Stage Points is strictly prohibited and will result in the associated rider(s) disqualification by event management (no exceptions).

Leave Outram heading South on SH87 towards Middlemarch & Ranfurly – pass through Middlemarch and after 115km turn left onto SH85 – head into Ranfurly and turn left onto Stuart Street – continue straight onto Ranfurly-Patearoa Road to Patearoa – continue straight onto Patearoa-Paerau Road – continue straight onto Paerau Road – continue on to the junction of Paerau Road and Linnburn Runs Road.

Backtrack North along Paerau Road – continue straight onto Patearoa-Paerau Road to Patearoa – continue straight onto Ranfurly-Patearoa Road – continue straight onto Stuart Street to Ranfurly – turn L onto SH85 towards Alexandra – turn left onto Ida Valley-Omakau Road – turn left onto Poolburn-Moa Creek Road – turn left onto Webster Lane – turn right onto Old Dunstan Road - continue to the junction of Old Dunstan Road and Aston Road.

Backtrack North along Old Dunstan Road – turn left onto Webster Lane – turn right onto Poolburn-Moa Creek Road – turn left onto Ida Valley-Omakau Road to Omakau – in Omakau, turn left onto SH85 towards Alexandra – in Alexandra continue straight and turn left onto Walton Street – continue to the junction of Walton Street Rivers Street.
